Arts Certificate

Certificates and the corresponding courses:

Visual Art Certificate	AVI10 AVI20 AVI3M AVI4M AWD3M AWL4M or AWM4M	These courses are recommended for students who are entering the fields of architecture, design, fine art, industrial design and animation.	An additional two credits in the arts are required to obtain the “Honours” designation.
Visual Art Certificate	AVI10 AVI20 AVI3M AVI4M AWQ3M or AWC3M AWQ4M or AWC4M	If students are pursuing photography, or ceramics at the post-secondary level they may obtain a visual art certificate with the following choices.

Music Certificate	AMI10 (or AMK10) AMI20 (or AMK20 or AMV20 or AMG20) AMR10/AMR20 (or AMK20 or AMV20 or AMG20) AMI3M (or AMK3M or AMV3M or AMG3M) AMI4M (or AMC4M or AMK4M or AMV4M) AMR3M (or AMK3M or AMV3M or AMG3M) AMR4M (or AMC4M or AMK4M or AMV4M)	AMR10 and AMR20 are only accredited as half courses and both must be completed to obtain a whole credit.	One additional credit in the arts is required to obtain the “Honours” designation.

Arts Certificate (Dance Major)	ATC20 ATC3M ATC4M	In addition, three arts courses are required. Two of those courses must be at the grade 11 or 12 level.	ATC20 ATC3M ATC4M ADA10 ADA20 ADA3M ADA4M In addition, one arts course is required.

Comprehensive Arts Certificate		Students will obtain a total of six arts credits. Two credits will be at the grade 11 level, and two credits will be at the grade 12 level.	Students will obtain a total of eight arts credits. At least five of these credits will be at the grade 11 or 12 level.
